    0.60mol

    Explanation:

    Mg (OH) 2

    P=m/v

    P=density

    m=mass

    v=volume

    rearrange to get m=Pv

    2.34g/mL x 15mL = 35.1g

    then find the molar mass of magnesium hydroxide:

    Mg=24.31g

    H=1.01g

    O=16.00g

    molar mass Mg (OH) 2 = 58.33g

    then convert mass to mol:

    35.1g/58.33g = 0.60mol
