How many valence electrons are in the Lewis structure of Methane (CH4) ?

A. 2

B. 4

C. 6

D. 8 <- - I believe this is correct.

    I'm pretty sure that is correct too

    Because Carbon has 4 VE and you have 4 atoms of hydrogen, each hydrogen atom has 1 VE (4 atoms = 4 VE)

    4 + 4 = 8 so yeah
