    26.3 grams of NO are produced

    Explanation:

    3NO₂ + H₂O → 2HNO₃ + NO

    In this reaction 1 mol of water is needed to produce 1 mol of NO

    Ratio is 1:1

    15.8 g / 18 g = 0.877 mol of water

    0.877 mol of water will produce 0.877 mol of NO

    Molar mass NO = 30 g/m

    0.877 moles. 30 g/m = 26.3 g

    Answer: 26.33g of NO will be produced

    Explanation:

    3NO2 + H2O - -> 2HNO3 + NO

    RMM of NO = 14 + 16 = 30g/mol

    RMM of H2O = (2x1) + 16 = 2 + 16 = 18g/mol

    From the equation,

    18g of H2O produced 30g of NO.

    Therefore, 15.8g of H2O will produce Xg of NO i. e

    Xg = (15.8 x 30) / 18 = 26.33g

    15.8g of H2O will produce 26.33g of NO.
