Organohalides are treated with lithium metal to yield an organolithium, which is in turn treated with copper (I) iodide to yield the corresponding Gilman reagent. Decide what lithium diorganocopper (Gilman) reagent is needed to prepare 1-butylcyclohexene from 1-iodocyclohexene.
