Cellular respiration is a process of oxidizing food molecules like glucose into carbon dioxide and water. It takes place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into ATP molecules along with the release of waste products. It involves 4 steps namely

glycolysis pyruvate oxidation the citric acid or Krebs cycle oxidative phosphorylation

    Explanation:

The energy is stored in ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) molecule in between the Phosphate groups. The energy released by the process is used by the cells within the organism for the growth and repair of cells and other energy-consuming activities.
