Based on the information here, if 220 grams of the salt KBr are added to 100 mL of water at 100oC, explain how we would label that solution. A) insoluble B) supersaturated C) saturated D) unsaturated

    Explanation:

    A supersaturated solution is that which contains more of the dissolved material than could be dissolved by the solvent under normal circumstances.

    At standard condition Solubility of KBr in water at 100°C is 1020gm/L

    So, 100 ml water contains 220gm of KBr

    So, 1000ml water contains 2200gm of KBr, which exceeds the normal value. So, the solution is SuperSaturated one.
