    The new pressure at the new temperature 238 K, is 0.814 atm

    Explanation:

    Step 1: Data given

    Volume = 1.43 L

    Temperature = 28°C

    Total pressure = 1.03 atm

    The temperature drops to - 35 °C

    The volume stays constant ( = 1.43 L)

    Step 2: Calculate the new pressure

    P1/T1 = P2/T2

    ⇒ with P1 = The initial pressure = 1.03 atm

    ⇒ with T1 = the initial temperature = 28 °C = 301 K

    ⇒ with P2 = The final pressure = ?

    ⇒ with T2 = The final temperatures = - 35 °C = 238 K

    1.03 / 301 = P2 / 238

    P2 = (1.03*238) / 301

    P2 = 0.814 atm

    The new pressure at the new temperature 238 K, is 0.814 atm

    0.81 atm will be the new pressure.

    Explanation:

    This is the formula to solve this:

    P₁ / T₁ = P₂ / T₂

    1.03 atm / (28°C + 273) = P₂ / (-35°C + 273)

    1.03 atm / 301K = P₂ / 238K

    (1.03 atm / 301K). 238K = 0.81 atm

    The gas pressure is directly proportional to its absolute temperature when the volume keeps on constant.
