A balanced chemical reaction is shown below. C5H12 + 8O2 ‹ 5CO2 + 6H2O If 3 moles of C5H12 are reacted completely, how many moles of wafer are formed?

    Explanation:

    C5H12 + 8O2 - > 5CO2 + 6H2O

    From the balanced equation,

    1mole of C5H12 were consumed to produce 6moles of H2O.

    Therefore, if 3 moles of C5H12 were consumed, it will produce = 3 x 6 = 18moles of H20
