While traveling, an airplane passenger placed a sealed bag of potato chips in his checked luggage.     Pressure decreases with increasing altitude. At higher elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than a similar surface at lower levels.

    So this means at ground level, the pressure is high and at the space in air where the airplane travels, the pressure is low.

    The bag had exploded bécause of the expansion of the gas in the sealed bag of potatoes chips.

    Now this situation is an example of Boyle's law because it gives the relationship between volume and pressure.

    Boyle's law pretty much says that as the pressure decreases, the volume increases and vice versa.
