NaCl have stronger ionic bond compared to NaI.

    Answer: Option A

    Explanation:

Ionic bond is formed between ions having oppositely charged state. So the opposite charging of the ions will lead to mutual attraction of electrons towards the negative charge. While in covalent bonding, the electrons are shared mutually but in ionic bonding, the electrons will be mostly attracted towards the negative charge.

So the ions having highest electronegativity will be forming stronger ionic bond compared to ions having weak electronegativity. Among NaCl and NaI, chlorine will be more electronegative compared to Iodine (I). So the ionic bond will be stronger in NaCl compared to NaI.
