    2.56gMgSO4 in excess

    mBaSO4 = 2.8gBaSO4

    mCaCO3 = 2.25gCaCO3

    Explanation:

    Hello! To know which is the limiting reagent, which is the one I will use to calculate the product, I have to see how much reagent I use of each one and see if I have it or not.

    mBaCl2 = 4gMgSO4 * (208gBaCl2 / mol / 120gMgSO4 / mol) = 6.93gBaCl2 (I don't have it so it is the limiting reagent

    mMgSO4 = 2.5gBaCl2 * (120gMgSO4 / mol / 208gBaCl2 / mol) = 1.44g

    MgSO4 excess reagent

    Since I have 4g and use only 1.44, the total of the remaining reagent is (4-1.44) g = 2.56gMgSO4 in excess

    To calculate the product

    mBaSO4 = 2.5gBaCl2 * (233gBaSO4 / mol / 208gBaCl2 / mol)

    mBaSO4 = 2.8gBaSO4

    To calculate the amount of product I can get with calcium chloride

    mCaCO3 = 2.5gCaCl3 * (100gCaCO3 / mol / 111gCaCl2 / mol)

    mCaCO3 = 2.25gCaCO3
