    Carbohydrates, Proteins, Nucleic acid, lipids etc.

    Explanation:

    1. Carbohydrates:

    Some common examples of carbohydrates are : Sugar. Glucose, starch etc.

    They are defined as optically active polyhydroxy aldehyde or ketones. They are classified into three main categories:

    a). Monosaccharide : These are smallest carbohydrates which can not be hydrolysed. Example : Glucose

    b) Oligosaccharide : Examples of such carbohydrates are mannose and sucrose

    c). Polysaccharide : examples of such carbohydrates are : Starch, cellulose

    2. Proteins : The chief source of protein are : milk, cheese, pulses, peanut etc

    They occur in every part of the body and very necessary for the life processes.

    Proteins are the polymers of amino acids.

    There are two types of amino-acid:

    Essential amino acid : Those amino acids which are not synthesized by the body but must be required by the body. example : Histidine

    Non - essential : Which are synthesized by the body. example : Serine

    3. Nucleic Acid : Nucleic acid are responsible for transfer of character from parents to off-springs. There are two type of nucleic acid:

    DNA = Deoxy ribo nucleic acid

    RNA = Ribo nucleic acid
