To measure concentration, we need to compare "the amount of solute to the amount of solvent or to the total amount of solution."

    Explanation:

The concentration is the measure through which we can know the amount of the given substance which is being mixed with another solution. The concentration can be measured by dividing the mass of solute by the total mass of solution. For concentration control we use refractometer. The unit of concentration is molarity. The concentration of a solution can also be change by changing the amount of solvent. Adding the solvent will decrease the concentration of solute in the solution.
