You walk into the front door of your home. You smell an onion that someone is cutting in the kitchen. Explain why you are able to smell it, what the process is called, and list at least three other examples of substances that exhibit this behavior.

I know it's diffusion, and I know how it works, but what are three more examples?

    Any substance that is a gas, and has odor. Ex: Perfume, natural gas (CH4), and landfill gases.
