In the chemical equation 2 Co (NO3) 3 + 3 (NH4) 2S → Co2S3 + 6 NH4NO3, how many nitrogen atoms are on each side of the equation?

    Explanation:

    On the left hand side, we have three nitrogen atoms within the polyatomic ion. You then multiply that by the stoichiometric coefficient (the numbers to the left of a a formula that are used to balance the equation). So it is 2*3=6.

    On the right, there are two nitrogen atoms within the formula then multiplied by the stoichiometric coefficient again. 2*3=6
