    Explanation:

    Since tertiary butyl Alcohol is a 3° alcohol and it reacts with HCl to give Tertiary butyl chloride (2-chloro-2-methyl butane) by SN1 mechanism and won't give elimination product, alkene.

    And it passes through carbocation intermediate

    Reactivity is different with HCl and HBr
