A gas has a volume of 590 mL at a temperature of - 55.0°C what volume will the gas occupy at 30.0°C? Show your work.

    First convert the temperatures to degrees K:

    -55 = 218⁰ K.

    30 = 303⁰ K.

    Using Charles' Law the volume v is calculated as follows : -

    590 / 218 = v / 303

    v = 590*303 / 218

    v = 820 mL to the nearest mL (answer).
