A 25 N and 5 N force pull to the right. Friction is 10 N. If the object is 5 kg, find the net force and acceleration.

    If 25 and 5 go to the right, Fr = 30N. Friction always opposes motion (it goes to the left).

    This means Fl = - 10N. Fnet = Fr + Fl, which means Fnet = 20N.

    Since Fnet = mass * acceleration, 20 = 5 * a. Thus, a = 4 m/s^2
