The molar mass of CO2 is 44.01 g/mole. Choose which of the following correctly represents this relationship correctly as a conversion factor.

    By definition, one mole of any substance is equal to its molecular mass expressed in grams.

    The molecular mass of CO2 is = M (C) + 2*M (O)

    = 12 + 2 (16) = 12 + 32 = 44 grams

    Therefore: 1 mole of CO2 = 44 g of CO2
