If a sample of nitrogen gas (N2) contains 3.0 x 104 atoms of nitrogen, then about how many moles of nitrogen gas are in the sample?

    I guess you mean 3x 10^4 atoms of nitrogen

    number of moles = number of particles / Avogadro's constant

    = 3.0x10^4 / 6.02x10^23 = 4.98 x 10^-20 mol
