Explanation:

Fracking is a technique used to increase the extraction of gas and oil from the subsoil. It consists of extracting small dispersed concentrations of hydrocarbons (it can also be done with oil). To do this, a vertical drilling of four or five kilometers is carried out and then water mixed with chemicals is introduced to fracture the rocky substrate, filtering the fuel into the conduit. Fracking is used due to the scarcity of resources and the reduction of reserves. So, while the population continues to increase, the demand for energy also increases. This leads to fracking being used to meet the high demand.
