1. If 13.5 moles of oxygen are reacted with an excess of ammonia, how many moles of NO and of H20 are

formed given the following reaction? Show all work for credit.

    H2O=16.2Mol

    Explanation:

    4NH3 + 5O2 - -> 4NO + 6H2O

    5Mol of O2 Produce 4Mol of NO

    Therefore 13.5Mol of O2 produce NO = (13.5/5) x4 = 10.8

    H2O Mol = (13.5/5) x 6 = 16.2
