We have to calculate amount of zinc formed in the given reaction.

The amount of zinc formed is 16.47 g.

The balanced chemical reaction between copper and zinc nitrate is as follows:

    2Cu (s) + Zn (NO₃) ₂ (aq) → Zn (s) + 2CuNO₃ (aq)

From the reaction it is clear that one mole Zn is produced from two moles of Cu.

Atomic mass of copper is = 63.5 g and atomic mass of zinc is = 65.38 g.

    As per reaction, 2 X 63.5 g = 127 g of copper produces 65.389 g of zinc. Therefore 32 g copper will produce g = 16.47 g of zinc.
