    They both produce sex cells, it depends in which organism. Mitosis produces sex cells in prokaryotes. Meiosis in eukaryotes. Eukaryotic cells are in organisms like humans, and animals. Prokaryotic cells are in unicellular organisms like bacteria and viruses.

    Meaning that for humans and animals, Meiosis produces sex cells
