The overall order of the reaction is 3.

The rate law is rate = k[H₂]¹[NO]².

The overall order is the sum of the exponents of the concentrations.

    ∴ Overall order = 1 + 2 = 3.

The reaction is first order in [H₂], second order in [NO], and third order overall.
