Reaction rate measures the speed of chemical reaction and how they proceed with time.

The theories that have been propounded about reactions rates shows that increasing temperature is very important in chemical reactions.

From observation, chemical reaction rates are controlled by:

Nature of the reactants Concentration of the reactants or pressure for gases Temperature Presence of catalyst Sunlight

Increasing temperature temperature releases heat energy to drive reactions into completing faster. Collisions between reacting particles becomes more as a result of increase in energy. This energy when greater than the activation energy of the reaction would further influence the effectiveness of collisions between reacting particles. This would therefore make reactions proceed faster with more increase in temperature.
