Why was it possible to neutralize HCI using NaOH?

    HCl andNaOH are both strong acids/bases and they disassociate pretty much completely. Therefore as the reaction occurs, H + and OH - form water, while NaCl is formed from chlorine and sodium ions. A neutral solution has a pH of 7 same as water
