If I have 325 mL of oxygen gas at a temperature of 25°C,

and I heat it to a temperature of 75°C, what is the new

volume (in mL) ?

    v2 = 379.53 mL

    Explanation:

    use charles's law

    v1/T1 = v2/T2

    v1 = 325mL

    T1 = 25 + 273 = 298K * temperature has to be in kelvins

    T2 = 75 + 273 = 348K

    v2=?

    substitute;

    325/298 = v2/348

    v2 = (348 x 325) / 298

    v2 = 379.53 mL
