    Answer: Water is much more denser than ice and due to this ice floats on water.

    Explanation:

    when water changes from liquid to solid state its density also changes. Ice has lesser density than that of water due to which it floats in water.

    So, due this property of water ice was formed on the surface of the water when kept in freezer.
