An insulated calorimeter contains 100 g of water at 10 °C. A salt is added to the solution, causing the temperature to drop by 3 °C. Is the heat of solution for the salt endothermic or exothermic?

    Exothermic

    Explanation:

    Exothermic reactions give off heat and cause surrounding objects to get hotter. If this was endothermic the solution would have gotten hotter because it is taking in heat.
