If i have 6 grams of sugar and dissolve it in 74 mL of water, what is the concentration?

    Given that

    Amount of sugar = 6 g

    Volume of water = 74 ml or 0.074 L

    Number of moles of sugar = amount in g / molar mass

    = 6 g / 342.3 g/mol

    =0.018 moles

    Therefore molarity or concentration = 0.018 mole / 0.074 L

    = 0.24 M
