Calcium is an alkali earth metal. It is dull and grey, but when scratched it is shiny.

Boron is a metalloid, which is a nonmetal that has properties of metals. It can be shiny too.

I would say that Boron and Calcium are both correct.

Carbon is dull and so is Sulfur.
