How many grams of ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) would be required to make a saturated solution in 1000 grams of water at 50 degrees Celsius?

0 degrees Celsius - 90 g/100 mL

10 degrees Celsius - 70 g/100 mL

20 degree Celsius - 55 g/100 mL

30 degree Celsius - 45 g/100 mL

40 degrees Celsius - 35 g/100 mL

    Since,

1000 grams of water = 1000 mL of water

    So,

At any of the given temperature:

    1000 mL = 10 x 100 mL

    moles of NH4Cl = 53.5/53.49

    = 1.0 m

    = 1.0 mol/Kg

    Delta T = 2 x 1.86 x 1.0

    = 3.72 c

    = - 3.72 °C
