Explain why metallic elements bend, while solid and non-metallic elements break or crumble?

    Metallic metals have the property of being more malleable

    Metallic elements can be manipulated and bent because the have the ability to slightly stretch, other materials such as plastic are unable to bend and stretch even under high tempuratures
