It has been experimentally determined that the rate law for thereaction between mercury (II) chloride and sodium oxalate is third order overall and first order with respect to HgCl2. Write the rate law for this reaction.

2HgCl2+Na2C2O4 becomes 2NaCl+2CO2+Hg2Cl2

    The rate is first Oder in HgCl2 and second order is Na2C2O4

    Rate = K[HgCI2] [Na2C204] 2
