Why is melting a physical property of the wax of a candle, but flammability is a chemical property?

    You again? Haha ok so:

    melting is a physical property because it changes the physical state of matter (from solid to liquid) but there is no chemical change (if you make the stuff cold again it will turn back to the same kind of solid) however with flammability you have a chemical reaction, so you change the matter completely (ash is not the same as wood)
