The encounter of air and mountain range causes the formation of clouds.

Air in mountain ranges will rise and become cool. It will no longer be able to hold on to the water vapor it had collected. The excess water vapor will condense by becoming liquid water droplets that forms into a cloud.

Clouds formed in mountain ranges are usually stratus clouds and lenticular clouds.
