    Ionic change’ is the closest answer - electric currents are conducted by ions in some substances, though not metal. The filament - metal wire - in an incandescent lightbulb glows with visible light because it is heated to a very high temperature by an electric current being passed through it. It is not a physical change because this generally involves change from one state to another - for example, solid to liquid. Chemical changes usually result from chemical reactions.
