Explain how the atomic number of an element identifies the element

    The element’s atomic number is determined by the number of positively charged particles (protons) inside the nucleus of an atom. In other words, each element has a rare number that identifies the number of protons are in an atom. As the elements categorically have their own number of negatively charged particles (electrons), we will be able to determine and identify the element from these numbers. Say for instance, Hydrogen atoms. All hydrogen atoms, and a hydrogen atom only contains a proton and logically has an atomic number of 1.
