    1) we calculte the volume of this cube.

    Volume of a cube=side³

    dа ta:

    side: 2 cm

    Volume = (2 cm) ³=8 cm³

    2) we calculate the density.

    density=mass / volume

    dа ta: 5g

    volume=8 cm³

    Density=5 g/8 cm³=0.625 g/cm³

    3) we compare the density of this cube and the density of the water.

    Density of the water = 1 g/cm³

    Density of this cube=0.625 g/cm³

    Because the density of the cube (0.625 g/cm³) is less than the density of the water (1 g/cm³), the cube will float.

    answer: the cube will float.
