Can energy be released when matter changes? Can it be absorbed? Can a change in matter take place in which energy is neither release nor absorbed

    Energy releases during the change of matter like in case of something burning.

    Energy is absorbed during the change of matter like in case of ice melting to water.

    Change of matter can be done without net absorption or net release of energy, but it like a case of borrowing energy first and then give it back after the change to make a net equals to zero.
