If a sample of gas has a volume of 5.00 L @ 92.3 C, what will the volume of the gas be if the temperature is lowered to - 37 C

    You can apply Charles' Law.

    V1 = 5.00 (L)

    T1 = 92.3 + 273 = 365.3 (K)

    T2 = - 37 + 273 = 236 (K)

    V2 = ? (L)

    We have: V1/T1 = V2/T2

    --> V2 = (V1*T2) / T1 = (5*236) / 365.3 = 3.23 (L)
