    The difference is that Petroleum is a liquid mixture of complex hydrocarbon compounds; used widely as a fuel source and Natural gas is a mixture of gaseous hydrocarbons located under the surface of Earth, often near petroleum deposits; used as a fuel.

    Similar - Both are organic compounds and fossil fuels

    Different - natural gas is made up of lighter organic compounds than petrolium
