Two electrons are shared equally in bromine. what type of bond is represented between the bromine atoms in this Lewis structure

    A covalent bond will occur if electron pair are shared equally.

    Halogens family follows this trend the most.

    Ionic bond can not occur in this case because of the fact that no atom is gained fully or transferred to complete its octet.
