An element X has two isotopes. X-15 has 7 protons and 8 neutrons. Determine the atomic number and mass number of the second isotope, which has 10 neutrons in its nucleus ... How would I do this and get the answer?

    Mas number = no of protons + no of neutrons for X-15 it is 7+8 which makes it 15

    The atomic number = no of protons which is 7

    for the isotope the mass number will change to 17 but the atomic number will remain the same as 7.
