If you leave a glass of water and ice on the kitchen counter long enough, after a while you will have just a glass of water. why is this?

a. the water and ice share their heat equally.

b. the ice absorbs heat from the water and melts.

c. the water absorbs heat from the ice as it melts.

d. cold flows from the ice into the water and melts the ice.

    The heat of the water is shared with the ice and there for you drink will get cold but your ice will melt away from the heat going in the ice
