A flask containing 9.51 mL of a liquid weighs 156.1 g with the liquid in the flask and 148.4 g when empty. Calculate the density of the liquid in g/mL to the correct number of significant digits

    D=m/v (m being mass of liquid)

    m=156.1-148.4=7.7g

    d=7.7/9.51

    =0.810 g/ml (3 significant figures)
