Which type of bond is most likely to occur in the compound mgcl2?

    An ionic bond because Magnesium is a metal and Chlorine is a nonmetal, because mg has a + 2 charge and chlorine has a - 1 charge then mg would hand out the electrons from its outermost orbital and hand them off to the 2 chlorine atoms.

    Ionic. because MgcI2 is a compound of a metal and a non metal, which seems to form a ionic bonds together
