How does nitrogen get recycled back to the atmosphere

    Nitrogen gets recycled back through the Nitrogen cycle. Nitrifying bacteria use Nitrogen for anaerobic respiration releasing Nitrogen gas in to the atmosphere in the Process. This is the revers of Nitrogen fixation.
