A nitrogen atom has 7 protons. What number of neutrons would make a nitrogen atom most stable?

    For atom to be stable, neutron:proton ratio must be 1:1 which is for elements below atomic number 20. Hence for your question, number of neutrons must be same as protons i. e 7 to be stable.
